Rained out!

Rained out on our first day in the field! We made the most of it with a project history lesson and an orientation to methods for the folks joining us for the first time. Then, we got a tour of a fantastic collection of material culture and historic documents in the “110” collection of Joe Michel.

After hours some of us jumped in the car and went for a ride. A few photos follow. Some of you familiar with the region may be able to identify some of these spots. You can tell we ranged pretty far from home today!
